I like the frame and how well you have shown off squirrel’s tail but his face is out of focus. This looks like a squirrel coming to feed at your bird feeder so probably you’ll get more chances to practice and make perfect.

Here is a very rare shot of a river otter having a good scratch. Apart from the beautiful sharp composition it is a nice look at this animal’s behaviour. More like this please.

This is an interesting shot with nice movement however the crop is a little too tight and the composition somewhat confusing. I love the slow shutter style which adds so much to a still photograph and i suggest you persevere.

Fantastic butterfly and interesting palm background but the backlight is pretty unflattering. You could have corrected that with fill-in flash or with a lighter exposure.

Fabulous shot, so close… This is beautiful and very difficult to succeed in underwater conditions. The detail is crisp, the sunlight really setting off this handsome turtle's portrait. The surface of the sea makes a fabulous back drop. Well done for this very deserved mark of excellence.

This must have been an extraordinary encounter and you have recorded it pretty well. Your timing is just right catching all that water running off the whale’s tail. Unfortunately the photo is not very exciting. Check out some of the other whale shots in this round…

This is a difficult and rare shot to succeed and you have done pretty well, especially with the sharp focus which gives so much detail to the sealion. The light is nice too and we get a real feel of what is going on. The standard of some of the other entries is so high that this doesn’t get through. You are on the right track.

This does look like a cow so i’m afraid it is a domestic animal and not a wild one. Please read the guidelines before submitting off subject work.
