Bronze Medal: This photo made me look twice to actually acknowledge the bee flying away. A special capture with perfect timing. It has the touch of humor in it and you can smell spring on its way! Also composition of the branch, which goes slightly diagonal through the image adds character and flavor to it, and the top half light and the bottom half dark.

Thank-you VERY much! I am humbled by such recognition, especially with the number of really great photos submitted. My name is Randy Shankula and I live in St George Utah. Spring was just starting. I pulled into my driveway and when I exited my car, I could see bees around a small tree we had planted. I grabbed my 5D, 70-200 F2.8 L II lens, bumped the iso up and started taking pictures of bees and flowers. This particular photo was shot at 1/1250s, f7.1, ISO 200 Thanks again! Randy
