There were several looking straight up entries in this contest, and many well done, but this one stood out. The actual courtyard seems a perfect choice for this type of image and the symmetry creates a framework for the other elements to play in the composition. The sky echoing in the windows help create visual movement back and forth which activates the composition as do the birds seemingly caught in the center.
