My name is Alexey Pronin; I live in San Diego. This picture was taken at Mono Lake, California. On that December 2004 evening the sky put up a great sunset show, providing a nice background for tufas (limestone formations). I took this photo using Maxxum 7xi camera with Minolta 35/1.8 lens and Velvia100 slide film. I lightened up tufas with Maxxum 5600 flash. The slide was scanned with Nikon CoolScan 5000D scanner.
