Beautiful lighting and the dark background really show off the contrasting colours of the black, milk and white chocolates. Focus is perfect creating amazing textures on the broken and the melted chocolate. Great shot and worthy winner of this round. Well done.

Hi, I have broken an unhappy 41 year history of losing competitions so I am delighted to have won. It was shot on a Phase One camera using flash and enormous slabs of chocolate. I photographed this as a series of test shots exploring texture and tone. Thank you for making this shot the winner... it put me off eating chocolate for a long time! Howard Shooter
