I love the grainy sepia tones which go so well with this cracked-skinned elephant. The shallow depth of field enhances the graphical shapes of the skin and draws the eye all over this photograph. Nice, well done.

Thank you so much for the kind comments! I shot this with an Olympus E-PL2 micro 4/3rd's body and 40-150mm lens, then I converted it to black & white with Nik Silver EFX Pro 2. I was inspired by the look of vintage safari posters which led to the decision to go with a slight sepia tone and to add the distressed border to the image. Andy Herbon, Tampa, FL
