You may have noticed that in the last few days the I SHOT IT homepage has changed. We are continuously working on the I SHOT IT website to make it easier to use, and nicer to look at. At the top of the homepage you can now see the five newest photos. The centre of each photo is cropped into a square image. Clicking on a photo will open a page to reveal the entire photo.

The rest of the homepage below is split into two columns. On the left is a list of all competitions that are open to new entries. On the right are a number of sections containing links to recent blog entries, recent results, and competitions where voting is active. There is also a place where you can change the background theme for the whole of the I SHOT IT website. You can choose from a number of dark or light backgrounds.

Bird Photo Competition 5 2014 Results

Udo Siebertz from Germany has won the bird photo contest with an unusual underwater shot. The judge assumed that it had been taken with an underwater camera when in fact it was shot through an aquarium window. Regardless of how it was taken, it is wonderful photo and a very different viewpoint from most bird photos. Udo has won $291.60 and a Leica C worth $700. Congratulations Udo!

Cars and Transport Competition 5 2014 Results

Hermann Schlindwein from Germany has won this Cars and Transport competition with a very unusual, but unique and special photo. It reminds me of flights that are coming into land, and at last there is something interesting to look at out of the window after being very high up over the sea. It's also great to see that a competition can be won with a mobile phone camera, as usually the more expensive cameras have an advantage.

Herman has won $206.40 and a Leica C camera worth $700. There were 172 entries. The judge Tim Wallace has chosen 10 of the best transportation photos. Thank you to everyone who entered.

Rui Caria from Portugal has won the Premium Photo Contest. Rui has won the fantastic prize of $1,625.00 and a Leica X2 Camera worth $2000. The winning photos chosen by the judges Thorsten Overgaard and Birgit Krippner can be viewed here:

Premium Photo Competition 2014 4 Results

Food Photo Competition 2014 No 4 Results

The winner of the food photo contest has won $150.00 and a Leica C worth $700. The judge Duncan MacArthur has chosen 10 winning photos from 75 entries. Thank you to everyone who uploaded a photo and took part. I'm off to buy some juicy apples!

Cat Photo Competition 5 2014 Results

Congratulations to Susan Gaul from Germany who shot this gorgeous black and white photo of a cat napping on a window sill. A soft cushion near a warm radiator looks like the perfect spot for a cat nap. Susan has won $242.40 and a Leica C worth $700.

The judge Illona Haus has picked 10 winning shots from 202 entries. Thank you to everyone who participated. We enjoyed looking at all of the entries.

Landscape Photo Competition 2014 No 5 Results

Congratulation to Jay Hemphill from the US who has won the landscape photo contest with this stunning shot. The light on the clouds, the rainbow, and the land below makes a very memorable and unique shot. Jay has won $438.00 and a Leica C camera worth $700. The judge Duncan MacArthur has picked 20 winning shots from 219 entries.

Child Photo Competition 2014 No 4 Results

Congratulations to Stefan Pütz from Germany. Stefan is a very talented photographer who consistently produces award winning photographs. Stefan has won $600.00 and a Leica C worth $700. The large cash prize is thanks to the fantastic turn out for this competition with 300 entries.
