This photo was taken in the early morning hours of August 29, 2010 at Mill Creek Nature Center, Buford Georgia. Mill Creek Nature Center is a wetlands/wildlife preserve in Gwinnett County, owned and managed by the Georgia Wildlife Federation. Here the green tree frogs are visible for only a short period of time each year: August/ September. Instead of jumping for their next meal they prefer to climb to the highest point and wait for their food. I found this one perched nearly at the top of the saw grass contemplating his next meal.
I used a Canon EOS 7D with a 60 mm len with a polarizer filter 1/500 sec at F 2.8 mounted on a tripod.
