a truly, truly striking image. there are a lot of b&w images in this particular contest, and so many of the are SO well executed ... as is this one. beautiful done! the expression of the pup is wonderful, and the framing works well. the only distraction is the blown out highlight on the top of the adult CKC Spaniel's neck. normally i'm NOT a stickler about blown out highlights at all ... but in this case it really stands out. i'm wondering if it can be recaptured in the raw version? but it's a great, evocative image. a definite fave. well done! ~ illona
