Grumpy old men reading the newspaper till they get their morning coffee. That’s what we imagine, and it’s very cute. Nice balance and tonality.

I shot this photo in Old Town Quito, Ecuador in October of 2016. It was exhibited in a collection of street photographs from Ecuador at the Richard App Gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan in spring 2017. It is a candid shot with the Sony A7R2 and Zeiss 35mm 1.4 lens. Minimal post processing, including clarity adjustment.
