  • Wow, what a wonderful capture and perfect framing on this rearing horse. To make it even stronger, I would suggest expanding the photo's 'canvas' more to the right in order that the horse isn't exactly centered, and giving the amazing action of this horse more 'room' to 'move into'. Lovely soft tone creating the illusion of an early misty morning. Nicely done and congratulations. ~ illona

  • This is such a fabulous image ... the light, the warm tones, the details of the forest and various textures from trees and branches to the weeds, and of course, the shiny coat and wavy mane of the horse. It doesn't hurt the image at all that this is a simply stunning Fresian perched on the forest ridge. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • My name is Sabrina and I am a photographer from Austria. This is also where this picture was taken - in an Austrian forest. The friesian is a young stallion from a friend of mine, one of my most loved models. He is so confident, handsome and he just knows how to pose and the moment was just perfect - even though it was really tough to shoot because of the dark horse, the dark location (between high trees) and with the direct backlight, the post processing helped me a lot to show this moment as it felt. I shot it with my Canon 5d MKiii and the Canon 70-200mm 2,8 - for me a "once in a lifetime picture".

  • This is such an immediately captivating and unique image. We don't need to see the horses' legs in order to know they are trotting down this lovely lane towards the camera. In fact, it is the tension created by this uncommon crop that makes it all the more unique and impactful. Nicely done. ~ illona

  • This is a wonderful capture ... the sun on this stunning horse lights its coat on fire amidst the calm and quiet backdrop. The steam from its breath and it's wide nostrils makes us wonder what has happened prior to it stopping to start at the camera. Great capture and post management. ~ illona
