  • The angle in which this bouquet of flowers was captured works well, and the dark colours underling a certain theatric appearance.

  • It looks like two photos had the same judges comment! But thank you for choosing my photo for excellence. This is a nastursium bloom against one of its leaves. I had to hold the flower in place to get the right positioning. No photoshop needed for the background.

  • A well chosen depths of field with slightly desaturated colours makes this an intriguing capture of a tulip. The water drops on the flower, as well as the vertical lines of the stems, underline the beauty and add another dimension to this image.

  • Perfectly timed is this close-up, with the focus on the insect. The colours have a psychedelic feel which goes well with the composition.

  • Beautifully seen, and possibly not arranged by man or woman. The natural beauty in this photograph is perfectly captured, and the bumble bee make a spontaneous appearance here. Portrait format and tight depths of field makes us think that we are dealing with a professional here.

  • The colours are surreal in this capture, maybe a certain way of post-production? The composition works well, and the trees in the background let the mind travel far.

  • The composition is great, it seems that the photographer went low on the ground to get on eye level with this flower. This makes us, the observers, feel being involved and engaged in this little scene of forest life.

  • Just enough information here to make out that this is a flower, with aperture well chosen and beautifully executed in black and white.
