  • Delicate and sensibly executed, these not fully opened-up tulips were captured. The spare light in this dark environment gives it a theatrical appearance.

  • The angle of this flower has a flatness, which is a great point of difference to other photo submissions. And the leaves which surround the flower, have a great three-dimensionality. Lovely colours, and beautifully framed and executed.

  • Sometimes the photographer has to bend down a little, or maybe even go all the way down to create a different angle. How this photo was taken makes us feel, being integrated with these little flowers, being right there with them.

  • Pastel colours and the blurred-out soft background make this a delicate appearance of this flower. It seems to be isolated from its surroundings and creates its own story because of this.

  • We wonder if this little flower was placed on the rocks, or if it possibly could grow there naturally? Either way and regardless, this is a great photo with good contrast and a bit of mystery.

  • Thanks for this mark of excellence! This picture was taken last summer in Iceland (Leica Q), with hardly any post processing. The flower was there, growing in the basalt rocks... My name is Emmanuel, I live in Paris, France. Thanks to the "I shot it" team for this great site, and to all for the great pictures!

  • Dreaming of being there .. How wonderfully initiated this scenario is, with such a warm and thoughtful feel. The observer can almost smell the crisp fresh air and the lake close by.

  • The depth of field is well chosen in this image, a three-dimensionality makes the pink flowers come closer to us, and the rest brought backwards. A lovely moment on the country side, as we can imagine.

  • A beautiful and dramatic photo this is, the spider web wrapped around the vivid purple flowers, introducing us to an unsolved story. Bright colours set against the dark background, makes this a stand-out capture.
