- This beautiful capture of this darling kitten stands out. The soft tones and shallow depth of field give it an almost magical quality. I only wish there was a little more light in the kitten's left eye, but otherwise, a lovely image. Nicely done. ~ illona

- This is such a fun and comical image. The capture of this cat's expression -- his open mouth and wide eyes -- is priceless. Choosing to present this image in black and white also makes the expression become the key feature. Nicely done! ~ illona

- This is a lovely capture of this cat ... the viewer can almost feel its calm presence, and the variety of textures in the stones, mortar, barbed wire fence, and the cat itself, keeps the viewer's eye moving throughout. Nicely done. ~ illona

- Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and for considering my picture for a Mark of Excellence! This shot shows a croatian street cat, a survival artist inbetween the ruins. I was so touched by her presence and dignity in all this morbidity and i'm full of respect for her, leading such a hard life and still beeing such a strong appearance. This was shot with my Fujifilm X-T20 and the xc 50-230 lense. Post processing in Gimp. Congratulations to the winner! Michaela from Germany
