  • This is an extraordinary and rare close up action shot which had me jump to attention. The blood, the teeth, the fish’s last moment and the orca, all sharp and so tightly framed. Congratulations you win this round.

  • This photo is beautiful, that eye, the undersea colours, the living environment, the movement, and of course the rays in their underwater world. Lovely original shot, it took something very rare to keep you off the first place.

  • Here is a different kind of elephant shot to those we usually see, i love the tree shapes and the environment, and this interesting look into an elephant’s feeding technique which makes your photo tell a story.

  • Thanks for the Mark of Excellence! This photo was taken during a walk in Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. We stayed there a few days in small tents, which was a great experience with elephants hanging around.

  • How sweet is this? So many ground squirrels for one shot, and their reflections, very well done. I guess you feed them, there seems to be lots to eat for such a barren scene ?

  • This is fun, and a clever shot of water rat shaking its fur dry. Your very low angle takes us right in there. Well done !

  • Here is an original, simply composed and graphic shot with lovely movement and colour. The jackal and the girafe’s reflection almost meeting in the center really draws us in and anchors the eye.
