- Hello a big thank you to all those who voted. My name is Caleb Schmucker . I took the photo with a canon eos rebel t1i and an 18 to 55 mm lens. I did minimal post processing on lightroom .

- Thank you all very much for your votes and the mark of excellence. I am Tamara Tschopp from Switzerland. I took this photo near lake Sihlsee in Switzerland at the end of last year. It's long ago that I have seen such a clear sky with the winter milky way all over the sky. I was just stunning and taking some photos. I used my Canon 5D Mark II and the EF 16-35 f4. Post processing was done in Photoshop CC. There were two exposures, one for the foreground and one for the sky.

- Thank you to those who voted for my photo and gave it a Mark of Excellence! My name is Joshua Jones, and this is a Common Snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina) found in Pigeon River State Forest. Sorry for the following lack of info, but nothing fancy was used to get this photo. This was shot with a Fuji Finepix S4830 on the macro setting and post processing was done on Windows 8 photo editor.
