  • There is so much to look at in this photo - the peoples faces, the city scene, and of course the roller-skater. It is a perfectly timed shot that works well in black and white.

  • The brightly coloured football is a real focal point in this shot. There is a small amount of motion blur which makes the shot more dynamic and the low angle works well. A difficult shot in these lighting conditions. Well done!

  • Wow, thanks a lot. My Name is Tim Stief and i'm a student from Zurich, Switzerland. This image was taken in my hometown Hedingen, which is pretty near to Zurich city. I tooked it with a Leica M9 while my friend was training his insane skills. As i tooked this image i knew it would come out great, and later that evening i edited lightly with Photoshop. I just added a few corrections like gradation curve, and brightness.

  • The motorcyclist is framed well between the trees in the background. Capturing this moment from this angle with the motorcyclist heading straight for the camera makes an exciting shot.

  • Thank you for the Mark of Excellence. This photo was taken near Wilkes Barre, Pa. This picture is of my 13 yr old son who was riding with friends at the track on an extremely dry day. The dust worked really well to create a great effect for the photo. I used a Canon 50D for the photograph.

  • The shadows and lighting on the distant snowboarder creates a very beautiful scene. There are a few dust specs that could be digitally removed, but this photo has a great 'film' look to it.

  • There is nice sharp focusing on this sailer and his land yacht which can be tricky for a fast moving craft. Capturing this smile shows a great moment when you can clearly see how much fun he is having.

  • There is a simplicity to this photo which works well. The large background with trees creates a feeling of space and emphasises the height that the cyclist has achieved. We hope that the landing didn't hurt. Great shot!
