  • The winning shot. You have found the perfect view point to capture this mirrored ceiling and a world upside-down. The converging shadows draw you in. We enjoy looking at the crowd interacting with the reflection, look up at themselves.

  • This photo has the feeling of a surreal painting. Similar to a René Magritte painting perhaps. Simple but effective and almost made the top spot. Well done!

  • Motion and colour is doubled by the mirrored situation in the water - this makes one feel the tension of the fisherman even more. With the men at an angle it makes a more interesting reflection.

  • A mirror as an every day essential object, an unposed situation in life captured with an eye for the decisive moment, high-class street photography with perfect framing of this group. Interesting photo, makes the viewer wonder what event they are getting ready for.

  • Like in a fairy world, where does the reflection begin and where does it end - difficult to say, turquoise is not a colour often seen in nature, the square format pulls the scene in a box emphasizing the surreal impression, the tree becomes a third being next to the woman and her “magical me” in the water.

  • Like an impressionist painting with swirls and paint strokes - or Van Gogh's Starry Night -but it’s a reflection captured in water. The light, the motion of the water and the river vegetation are the painter!

  • The scale of this building is amazing and mirrored in the water makes it doubly impressive. An amazing reflection of some beautiful architecture. I like the seagull in the foreground.

  • Straight lines reflected into curves, like a Mathematical transformation - only by looking again can the car be recognized under the projection, reminds us of non-euclidean geometry where the shortest connection between two points is a curved line, Black and White helps to emphasize this distraction.

  • The cowboy kisses his girl and only the blank polished car reveals this private situation in detail, roughness and romantic story in the same frame, good composition and vertical framing, the decisive moment managed in a slightly different way

  • My name is Jeremiah Zurenda, this shot was taken in an abandoned parking lot on San Antinio's east side in the setting sun. The photo was taken with a Nikon D5100 and post processed in CS6. I was ignored to take this picture of my sister and brother in law as she wanted something special before beginning chemotherapy this last summer. It is a special photo in more ways than one. Thank you so much for the Mark of excellence in this contest!

  • A picture full of thought - a reflection also in an inner sense, the eyes look into the far infinity of the forest, the expression merges with the trees perfectly as being a part of nature, brilliantly executed with the right amount of depth of field.

  • I am very glad that you saw the potential of my photo, witch is very special for me. I made the portrait of my niece through a window of our weekend house in the woods, and it happened quite spontaneous without any preparations. I saw her next to a window and i took the shot. It was made at 4 PM with my Nikon D700 and nikkor 35mm F:2 lens - 40/1 s, F:6,7.
