For several years, I have been observing nature at its finest, photographing wild animals. It is my life passion - I spend every free moment in the forests and woodlands. - This is my little girl LIndsey taken 2 weekends ago in a very wet, heavy snow. Lumix 1000 ISO 2.8 aperture. I Brought down saturation to make black & white, All natural lighting. Just tweaked the detail a tad.

- Hi everyone, my name is Janez Ferkolj and I'm a photographer from Slovenia. Thanks for all the votes and another "Mark of excellence" award. This photo was taken on a cold winter night at Pokljuka mountainous plateau, Slovenia. The beautiful little princess in the picture is my cousin's daughter Laura, during the search for a hidden forest treasure. I used Nikon D600 and a 50mm 1.8 lens, shot wide open. Almost no post-processing was needed, just some brightness & contrast increase on the sky.
