- Thanks to everyone for the votes! My name is Brandon and I live in upstate NY. I'm honored to actually have 2 Marks of Excellence in this week's competition! My camera is a Sony a65 and for this photo I used a 75-300mm zoom lens. This was taken on a very rainy walk through the mountains around my town and the weather conditions created this really cool haze along this trail. Post processing included a bump in contrast and saturation.

My camera is a Sony a65 with a 50mm F1.8 lens for this photo. Believe it or not I took this photo right in my front yard. Post processing just included bringing out the orange and sharpening up the fur a bit.

- I am so very honored and humbled to have won my first Mark of Excellence! My name is Colleen Schueler. I live in Winona, MN. Thank you so much to all of you who voted! This photo was shot in our backyard during a blizzard in May of 2013. The cardinal was so bewildered!...I shot it with my Canon EOS Rebel T2i using a 75-300mm lens.

- This was a cool shot because the sunset was 20 minutes after the moon rise. By the time the moon cleared the tops of the trees there was still enough light at dusk to expose the lighter trees via a handheld shot at 460 mm on the 6D. I was using the 100-400 mm 4.5-5.6L Canon with a 1.4 ex mark III extender.
