  • Winner! I have chosen this image as the winner for the sheer amount of work and thought that has gone into this image from the car itself and its lighting to the setting and the light trails that really add to the dynamic. Great work and a well deserved winner

  • Third place Its a simple shot but sometimes thats all thats needed and I love the fact that the photographer used this part of the cars detail to really get a sense for the car and its style, well done

  • Love this! A great capture of something thats not that easy to do for those that have tried, the best thing for me is the low angle on the car and the flames. Nice post edit work also and a real sense of speed, well done !

  • Great shot and great use of lighting and the overall setting. The car is slightly distorted from the wide angle and the fall off of light to the rear is perhaps a little to quick but over all a really well put together capture and great lighting control on the car! Well done

  • Nice capture and great use of space rather than centring on the car alone, the setting works well and the additional lighting to the front and rear of the car has been done really well and not too over the top. Sharp lines and a great capture, well done!

  • Hi, my name is Bon and I'm based in Munich. This shot of an ASTON MARTIN DBS is part of a series of 8 shots. It was taken on a very hot summer day back in 2008 at the bus station of Munich trade fair centre as a free project. On this one I used a Canon EOS 5D with a Canon 24-70 lens. As for there was power supply on location I used 2 Bron Grafite A2 generators with standard reflectors and a California Sunbounce for lighting. Big thanks to Loder 1899 for providing the car and the whole team that helped taking this picutre that day! Thank you for rewarding this shot with a mark of excellence!

  • Couldn't get away from this image and kept coming back to it. Its a simple shot but for me it has really great appeal, I love the structure and the hard reflections and if it was me I might like to see that a little darker and in b/w. Great image and view point, well done !

  • Very interesting image and I love the darkness on this and the mood. Post edit work is maybe a little too much but its personal choice at the end of the day and it does work really well, well done !

  • Hi, My name is Bill Campbell and I'm based in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Im flattered to have my image selected for a Mark of Excellence and congratulations to the other photographers for their beautiful work. This image was shot in the afternoon at the drag races in Prince George with a Nikon D300S. This car was just mean in a good way and I tried to give a dark and sinister feeling in my processing.

  • Great image of a muscle car. I love the lighting on this and can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into that. The setting lets it down slightly as I would have liked to have seen it sat on the road but over all a shot that you can be proud of and most of all great use of light and a really good view point and position on the car. Well done !

  • I am honored to receive this Mark of Excellence! This shot was taken at 11:30 pm at the end of my field road on my farm with 4 Alien Bee 800's and a Nikon D4. I have been studying Tim Wallace and I am very inspired by his work. I hope this is the beginning of a career of commercialized automotive photography for me.
