  • Balluminari, Eden Park, Cincinnati OH. Balluminaria is an event each fall that draws hundreds of photographers that park out by this reflective pool waiting for the night glow. This was shot with Nikon D90 and the kit lens set at 18mm. Post processing was done in Adobe Lightroom. I am very honored that out of all of the wonderful photographs entered, my shot somehow was at the top. I thank each of you that voted for my photograph. Kathy Marcum

  • I am honored to receive a Mark of Excellence for my photo. In 2010 the day before Wings Over Atlanta I was lucky enough to find an abandoned building and parking lot at the end of the runway outside the gates of the base and watch the practice run. It was by far one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen that close up. Nikon D80, f/5.6 @ 55 mm, 1/800, ISO 200. • Alice Mitchell -This photo is very special as I took in Tenessee - I expected the day to be loss as we arrived at the park, they were working on a -controlled burn- I was very ill - and not sure I would ever make the trip again- - My husband of 30 years was determined to help me get some great shots and that is exactly what we did - shot with a Canon 35MM Rebel and photoshop to merge the moon image taken months later

  • My name is Brad Detrick. I took this shot of a sunrise west of Mt Rainier. It was a beautiful morning and it was very hard to put the camera down. I used a Pentax K2000 camera with no post editing done.

    • My name is Carrie Weiss and the horses name is Renegade. I took this photo at the farm I worked at in Wisconsin. We were clearing paths to the water tanks for the horses and I brought my Nikon D5000 with me. It was the first snowfall of the year. The picture has not been edited at all.

    • John Langfeld, Westchester, IL. Canon Rebel T1i. In July, 2010 there was a major flooding of Westchester. We had 5 feet of water in our basement where ALL electronic equipment was installed and/or stored. There had never been a flood in Westchester; thus, no need to worry. NOT. When I retrieved my camera, I noticed the water in the lens. Happily, three of the cichlids found themselves there before the rest of their friends died from shock a few days later. Ah, technology!
