My name is Courtney Garrity and I love Landscape and Wildlife photography. I shot this photograph in Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska last July. The humpback whale was bubble net feeding and the bird was trying to catch some stray fish. The camera I used was a Canon Rebel t1i with a 75-300mm lens. I want to thank everyone who voted for my photo. It is an honor to be recognized among such great photographers.
Thank you very much. My name is Bret and this shot was taken at the Cox Arboretum here in Dayton Ohio. Nikon D5100 and the 85mm macro lens. I shoot fine jpeg so not very much post processing at all.
Hi, my name is Rhonda Mullen and I live it Portage Indiana, USA. I took this shot with my Canon Eos Rebel T3i. On the day of what should have been my daughters 4th wedding anniversayry, we did a trash the dress photo shoot! This is one of the last thngs she did to the dress! Her divorce became final last week! We did try to donate the dress, but it was ruined beyond repair! Thanks to all who voted, it has truely made my day!
Thank you for the Mark of Excellence! My name is Vivian, this photo was taken in my front yard near St. Louis, MO. Camera used: Canon T3i, sports mode, 55-250mm lens. Post processing: HDR tone mapping with Photomatix Pro 4.2.
Thank you for the votes everyone. My name is Jeff Spangler and this shot is a merge actually. It was taken at the Bay City fire works show in Michigan. Had to do quite a bit of editing to get rid of a lot of clutter such as telephone poles/wires etc., so I am tickled that it made it here. Thanks again. Shot w Canon Digital Rebel XT, edited in PS 10.
Who I Am: Tamara Thornquist, Freelance Photographer, TThornquist Photography. I am a photography enthusiast at heart! I developed my passion for photography, approximately 31 years ago, at about 9 years old. I had some money saved and bought my first Kodak 110 Pocket camera from a nice older lady who was having a yardsale. The obsession began. I would take pictures of everything; still have those pictures and it makes me laugh to see the things I thought were "picture worthy". Over the years I have enjoyed and embraced the changes and advancements in the camera world; going from my little pocket camera, to an inexpensive 35mm, to a more expensive 35mm then to my first digital Kodak then entering in to the world of Canon (1st Rebel, 2nd D series), as well as the changes in processing, going from a darkroom to "Lightroom". Though I have been using and experimenting with photography for years, I find that I am always learning something new. I see the world in pictures; always taking note of the lighting, composition and subject and taking note of the things that interest and "speak" to me - I really can't go anywhere without being kind of distracted by this affliction :) I enjoy not only taking pictures but looking at the creativity and beauty and interest captured by other photographers. I am really enjoying the I SHOT IT site; I can share some of my work, look at the work of others and continually be inspired and challenged!

I shot this pretty, little fox at the golf course where I work in Alaska. I photographed her in mid April. She was very curious about me and the sounds of my shutter. I have several pictures of this beauty, all taken with my Nikon D5100. It was anew camera, and I wasn't yet familiar with all its manual workings, so this is just a very close Jpeg taken with a 55mm lens, roughly 5 feet from my subject. :)
