Photographers Comment Photo by Diana L. Ochsner. Currently living in Souhern Idaho, originally from Northern Utah. I took this photo in late summer of 2011 in the Northern Utah mountains. I shot it with my Nikon P90. Photography is my passion! I would love to go from amateur to pro someday! |
Photographers Comment Thank you all for your votes. :-) My name is Alexey Pronin; I live in San Diego. This picture was taken at Grand Isle State Park, Louisiana (the Gulf of Mexico coast) in 1996. I liked the view of this pier combined with nice clouds. The photo was taken using Maxxum 7xi with Sigma 18 mm/3.5 lens and Velvia50 slide film. I used a graduated tobacco filter to color the photo. There was little digital processing done other than scanning. My website - www.alexeypronin.com |
Photographers Comment My name is Lisa Hampton, I photographed this blue heron at dawn on Longview Lake, Grandview, Missouri. Nikon D700, 80-200 mm lens. I cropped it narrow because it reminds me of Japanese scroll art. |

Photographers Comment My name is John Chimon I took this photo with Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 70-200mm lens in Chicago, IL USA at Montrose harbor in October of 2011 .
It was a typical October windy and stormy day on Lake Michigan
I just waited for the perfect wave to crash but there were even bigger waves crashing much higher then one in the photo .

Photographers Comment My friend calls it "hocus pocus". I rarely do these composed images and only do them with the photomerge feature in photoshop (I don't know how to do them with layers!) They can be fun with the right subject. The 2 photos here were shot in natural light with continuous fast shutter. Nikon D3s /300 2.8 Thanks for voting and favoring this little picture. |
Photographers Comment Thank you for the votes. I am Peg Whitted, amateur photographer, and one of my favorite places to photograph is Yosemite. This is El Capitan in winter. My camera is a Nikon D5000. Nothing much done to the photo besides cropping and a very little blurring of the corners. |
