Overall winner
Congratulations to the image for what is a superbly balanced capture. I choose this image for the winning position based on the very high level of attention to detail and the skill that has gone into not only lighting it but also on the post edit side of the work. Its a subtile and classic stance with a modern feel to it.
Well done, great lighting, great photography, great post work.

Wow! Thanks so much for selecting my image as the winning image. The Aston is one of my bosses cars. It was photographed at his residence in Dallas Texas. I was assisted by Brandon LaJoie on the strobes. The car was shot with a Nikon D800 using a Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Lens. The car was lit with a single Alien Bee AB800 with the strobe being moved around the car in 4 separate images. Those images were merged together in Photoshop during post.
Thanks Again to Brandon for the help. Couldn't have pulled it off without your help!

Thank you to all who voted for our photo of a male Eastern Bluebird peeking into its nest box to check on its chicks in the SouthWood Community of Tallahassee, Florida. I captured this image using a Nikon 7100 and a Nikon 70-300 lens. Post processing was done with Google's Picasa. Thanks again.

i'll admit, i'm partial to black and white images which are not afraid of the blacks and show good contrast with true whites. and on that, this image delivers. beautiful conversion. the receding line and deliciously soft bokeh draw us to the cat and the minute details of texture of the concrete, fur and whiskers. the action captured mid-stride, along with the curved tail leading us into that receding line simply add to this already strong image. well done! ~ illona

Thanks to everyone who voted for my photo! This is my 1st win in this competition! I have shot hundreds of photos of lightning and this one has garnered more attention than any of my others. It has been featured on the National Weather Channel on TV, published in Outdoor Photographer magazine, and won 2nd place in the amateur division of the International Photographer's Association competition. I shot this near Lamesa, Texas with a Canon XSI on a tripod. The wind had blown this cloud into the area where the lightning was coming out of the cloud cover in the top, and struck at just the right time! The only post processing was cropping a little. Thanks! Jerry Cotten.
