Free Photo Competition 2012 Week 29

Thank you I'm chuffed to of won and even more so with my first ever entry. My name is Steve, I work in London where I took this shot of the eye. The weather has been unusually wet and not ideal conditions. If I had tried to take a photo of the actual London eye, my lens would soon be covered in raindrops, so I pointed the camera at the pavement and shot the reflection. I used a Canon 550d and 10-22mm lens. Thanks again, I look forward to playing in some more competitions on I SHOT IT

I took this image last year at the "Warbirds over the Beach" Airshow. I was using a Canon EOS Rebel XT, with a Tamron 200-500mm zoom. I shot it handheld and in RAW, f/19 , 1/100sec , ISO-200. Postprocessing consisted of a slight Curves adjustment (to bring out the Clouds) and some minor Sharpening in Photoshop 7.

Hello I'm John Morey. I'm pleased to have received so many votes for this image. Shot in Monument Valley, AZ. around 4pm in manual mode with my Canon 60D and F2.8L 70-200 lens, using F6.3, 1/8000, ISO 100, 200MM. Exposed for the sky. From an editing perspective this is just a white balance adjustment down to 2500 Kelvin...thats the only edit...however I could have also just set the WB that way in the camera and then would not even need an edit in post processing.

This was a shot taken shortly after I recieved my Canon T3 dslr. This is a male orange tipped butterfly taken at Mt. Island park in North Carolina. All the post processing was done with corel paintshop pro x3. Thanks for all the votes!!!!!

This photo was shot in charming Savannah, Georgia which by the way is always a walk to remember I love the old buildings and the cobblestone streets, It was shot with my t3i @f/7.1 1/320 ISO 200...Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me and the judges that made the final decision to make my photo mark of excellence. This was part of the Parade of Sails which opens the Harborfest Celebration. I was using my Canon EOS 40D and a Tamron 200-500mm zoom. Shot in RAW , Handheld, in Aperture Priority Mode. f/16 , 1/100sec , ISO-400. Converted and Sharpened in Photoshop CS5.
