Photographers Comment Thanks so much to everyone who voted for my image. My name is Kris Montgomery, and I live in Melbourne, Australia. This shot, an early morning view of Mt. Cook from Lake Matheson, was taken whilst on holiday in New Zealand in January 2011. 3-exposure HDR merged in Photomatix Pro 4.1, with finishing touches done in Photoshop CS5. Original exposures were taken with a Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-55mm lens @ 32mm, f10, ISO 200, varied shutter speeds. |
Photographers Comment Thanks All, My name is Kevin Hertle, i am a young photographer from upstate NY but this Picture was taken on Shelter Island with a Nikon D5000 and an 18-55mm lens. As for post processing I mostly played with selective brightening, darkening until the photo looked like what i had envisioned. on the beach. |
Photographers Comment Appreciate the support! I'm Elsen Karstad, resident in Kenya. This photo was taken in the Masai Mara- Kenya 'way back in 2004. Photographers Comment This Bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana) was found in the well landscaped Lilly Pound in Epcot's Word Showcase China. I spent hours photographing the Pound and Frogs that lived within this Water Lilly paradise. The Bullfrog is found through--out central Florida in ponds, lakes and slow-moving streams. The photo is untouched with a slight crop. Thanks for the honor Elizabeth Yureklier DiRosa. |

Photographers Comment Thank you each for the support. My Name is Sherry Bell, Teton NP, I wanted to capture the Tetons reflecting in Jackson Lake at sunset. Disappointment, the skies were smoke filled a fire was burning 200 miles away. Walked the long walk to the point I wanted to shoot from and hoped the cool evening air would bring the smoke down to the ground. I waited and then the smoky sky started to take on colors growing more intense the lower the sun went. Canon 7D, 17-40mm Lens, GND filter, |
