Most Popular Photos

December 6th, 2012  ( Updated 5 months ago )

We've revamped the Most Popular Photos page. This page is available under the EXPLORE menu at the top of every page.

Whenever someone adds a photo to their personal list of favorite photos, we record in our database the date and time of when this happens. This means that for any given time period we can see what the most popular or in other words, 'the most favored' photos are.

At the top of the Most Popular Photos page there is now a 'year' and 'month' menu. You can now see which photos were the most popular for any selected year or month.

Please help us to improve this page by creating your own list of favorite photos. All you need to do is click on the 'Add To Favorites' link under the photos you like.

Black-And-White Results

October 15th, 2012  ( Updated 6 months ago )

The results are in for our first black-and-white photo contest. There's one very lucky winner and twenty three runners-up. The standard of entries was very high and there are many potentially award winning photos that didn't make it into the judges top twenty four photos. We know that the entry fee was high for this competition, so we know there will be much disappointment for those who did not win. We are looking forward to hearing from the winner who I'm sure will be over the moon.

Cameras mean prizes!

September 28th, 2012  ( Updated 7 months ago )

Here at I Shot It HQ we put our heads together and asked ourselves what we had done recently that had caught the imagination of our loyal members. The answer is simple - cameras!

So just for you, we have decided to repeat the success of the Black and White Competition with its incredible 1st prize of a Leica M Monochrom camera body as well as the I Shot It prize fund.

But it doesn't stop there!

We have decided that for the Premium Competition this forthcoming round we will substitute a Leica X2 camera worth $2000 for the usual $1000 starter to the 1st prize fund.

Wow! We are sure you will be as excited about this as we are!

Flower Photo Competition 3 2012 - Leica V-LUX 40

September 22nd, 2012  ( Updated 7 months ago )
We are very pleased to announce another competition with a Leica prize. This round of the Flower Competition will have the usual prize fund but instead of the $300 kick start we usually give to the fund, we have added a Leica camera as we have done in the Black and White Competition. This is the Leica V-LUX 40 - a compact camera of a very superior kind.

You can read about it here on the Leica website. The camera is worth around $800 and is both fast and versatile with full HD video, 20x optical zoom and integrated GPS.

With such a sensational prize, you may be amazed to discover that the entry fee for the competition remains at the normal $3 level - but here at I SHOT IT we love being able to reward your wonderful photos with truly worthwhile prizes.

We hope you are as excited as we are once again and ready to show us your very best flower photos
